Spring 2019
Project Summary:
Camp Wightman’s largest retreat center, Cathcart(pictured on the left), is going through some much-needed renovations over the course of the next couple of weeks! The kitchen and both bathrooms are being completely re-done, floor to ceiling, the entire interior of the building will be repainted, curtains will be replaced, and some chairs and other accessories will be replaced as well. The project is being completed through the work of many skilled volunteers. Thank you, everyone, for the help! On this page, you will see updates of the work being done along with some before and after pictures!

March 10th 2019:
Today the project officially began! The kitchen was gutted, appliances were removed, and part of the wall dividing the kitchen and the dining area was removed.
March 11th:
The girls bathroom was taken apart; sink, walls, toilets, and all.
March 12th:
The kitchen was totally re-spackled, smoothed, and painted today! The bathroom demolition continued as well.
March 13th:
Today the girl's bathroom plumbing was worked on and the kitchen's paint job was completed!
March 14th:
The boy's bathroom has been taken apart, the kitchen cabinets are being placed, and the electrical in the girl's bathroom was worked on!
March 15th:
Today sheetrock was put up in the girl's bathroom and a few more kitchen cabinets were installed.
March 16th:
The kitchen cabinets are in place and the appliances have been installed(WE STILL NEED A FRIDGE-PLEASE DONATE TO GET A FRIDGE).
March 17th:
Today all the showers were installed, plumbing in both bathrooms were finished the dining room and the living room were organized, and the kitchen cabinets were lined! It was a very productive day with lots of volunteers, thanks, everyone!
March 18th:
Sheetrock was installed in both bathrooms closing the gap between them and all electrical work was completed.
March 19th:
All bathroom walls have been spackled.
March 20th:
Today all the walls in the bathrooms were prepped for paint!
March 21st:

March 27th:
All the walls in the girl's bathroom were painted.
The stalls in the girl's bathroom were installed.
March 23rd:
March 28th:
Trim in both the kitchen and bathrooms was completed
March 24th:
The bathroom and kitchen counter tops were installed.
March 25th:
The bathroom sinks, soap dispensers, and mirrors were installed. Also, the kitchen silverware and plates were organized.
March 26th:
The stalls in the boy's bathroom were installed.
The shower rooms were completed today! This meaning all hooks, seating, and curtains were installed.
March 29th:
The project was completed (for the most part...)!!! Aside from a few small details, the project was completed and Cathcart is in full use once again! Thanks for all the help everyone!! All donations and skills helped the project run smoothly and efficiently.
